Applications are now open for the third and final round of the government’s Countryside Productivity Small Grants (CPSG) scheme. The scheme is a great boost for farmers looking to invest in productivity-boosting equipment, with a total of £25 million available in grants.
How much is available to farmers?
The CPSG offers grants of £3,000 – £12,000 for individual farms to improve efficiency and benefit the environment. Grants cover up to 40% of the equipment costs, meaning the minimum total value of kit purchased is £7,500 and the maximum is £30,000.

How long is there to apply?
Farmers will have until midday on 4 November to make an application to the Rural Payments Agency.
