The fully electric HiSun Vector E1 UTV appeals to a wide range of users – now including Arctic researchers.

After looking for a fully electric vehicle that will have minimal impact on the pristine Arctic environment, the British Antarctic Survey contacted us here at MPE and selected the HiSun Vector E1. The vehicle will now be shipped to the NERC Arctic research station at Ny-Ålesund on the Svalbard archipelago where it will be used for hauling equipment in the near vicinity of the station.

Reputedly the world’s northern-most community, weather conditions can be harsh, and a full cabin has been fitted to the vehicle to provide shelter. The cabin was also requested to provide protection from polar bears – certainly a first for any UTV we have supplied!
