The Makita DUX60 is a versatile main drive unit compatible with a range of garden attachments, including a line trimmer, hedge trimmer, pole saw, cultivator, and edging tool. It is powered by two 18V Li-ion batteries, delivering energy to a 36V brushless motor.
This unit features a 3-speed electronic gearbox with high, medium, and low settings, and includes a reverse gear that is especially useful for untangling the line trimmer head. The soft start function enhances user safety during startup. Active Feedback Technology (AFT) shuts down the motor in case of a jam, while overload protection prevents overheating, overloading, and over-discharging of the batteries.
The brushless motor is more efficient than brushed models, providing around 30% more runtime per charge. The DUX60 is compact, easily stored, and features tool-less slide joint attachment fitting with a positive clip-lock fixing. The loop handle is adjustable to accommodate all user sizes.
